The international film project is the work of Holly Carter, a New York-based journalist, filmmaker and founder of the nonprofit BYkids. BYkids pairs teens in Third World countries with professional filmmakers to produce kid-centered documentaries about their lives.
Senses Cultural is a Sacramento-based nonprofit that promotes the work of BYkids and organizations like it dedicated to improving the lives of women and children across the globe.
Tata Monfared, CEO of Senses Cultural, will introduce Carter, who is currently planning a documentary made by a teen in Afghanistan.
