Once again, the passion and creativity of just a handful of dedicated people has inspired projects to support our mission of creating a more peaceful and healthier environment for all. On June 30th, 2016, we celebrated the opening exhibition of the Art for Autism collection, held at Niavaran Institution of Art & Culture ( Farhang Sarayeh Niavaran), one of the most prestigious fine art galleries in Tehran. This was a wonderful milestone, as it was just a few days after our 4 year anniversary of becoming an NGO.
Senses Cultural, along with its Iranian sister organization, Shokraneh Mavaddateh Jahani (Blessings of Universal Contribution), were proud to present its first exhibition at this gallery, featuring 40 artists from all over Iran. In addition to this exhibition, Senses hosted a media conference, and in connection to an Iftar ceremony in Tehran, found the entire experience to be successful in helping to establish academic relations at the international level. Senses Cultural will contribute to organizing special schools for children with Autism in Iran – more news to be announced on that subject soon.
This exhibition was a huge success in promoting Senses Cultural’s collaboration with UC Davis’ Mind Institute, The Institution of Welfare, and Aftab School for Children with Special Needs in Karaj. All of these forces are active in helping to develop a first School of Autism in Iran. We have received news of interest from some great organizations and individuals in the US and Iran, and look forward to seeing what develops..
Art for Autism is a path that was created through the advocacy of great artists and organizations, including the Autistic artist Mohammad Kazemzadeh. Help us with your donations to walk this path together!
Thank you for your support in helping Senses Cultural reach its global mission of inspiring projects that bring change to our world.
