Dorsa Jabbari immigrated to Canada from Iran at the age of ten. Growing up in Toronto, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Fine Art History from the University of Toronto in 2001. After five years working at the largest television network in Canada, CTV, Dorsa moved to Doha, Qatar, to join the launch of Al Jazeera English. She returned to her home country to work as the network’s primary correspondent in 2010. Since then, she has covered not only the tumultuous years of Ahmadinejad’s presidency, but also reported on the on-going war in Syria from Lebanon. Dorsa has worked as a freelance journalist in Tehran since 2013.
