Shuka Kalantari is the Director of Communications and the Board of Advisory Media Director at Senses Cultural and Senses Cultural Academy of Health and will be spearheading various communications and fundraising initiatives to further the goals of our organization. Her background is in media strategy, journalism and podcast production. She primarily covers health and culture of immigrant communities and has reported in Turkey, Nicaragua, Cambodia, Thailand, Canada and across the United States. Shuka’s stories have aired Public Radio International’s The World, BBC Radio, KQED Public Radio, WHYY Public Radio, Vice Magazine, and more. She received a Master’s degree in interactive health journalism at City University of New York’s School of Journalism.
