Maryam Oskoie, known as Mia, is a photographer and videographer who began doing photography after she came the United States from Iran.
Maryam received a certificate for fashion and wedding photography from Sierra College in Northern California. She found photography as a way to approach the beauty of colors, to capture moments, and to see people’s faces and figures in detail.
She adores photography because she believes every single photo is a challenge to consider the light, the focus, the speed, the framing, the object movements and poses and million more things all in a split second. She has worked with Senses Cultural since 2017, shot photos and videos and conducting interviews with autism specialists for the Autism Workshops at Tehran Autism School.
