Enduring Power: The Middle Eastern and Iranian Woman’s Story

Senses Cultural believes that women – mothers, grandmothers, and daughters – have been the quiet strength that protects the rights of their families, communities, and nations.  Enduring Power: The Middle Eastern and Iranian Woman’s Story is a 44 image photography exhibition that features seven female photographers from Iran, Bahrain, Kwait, Egypt and Yemen.  This exhibition, curated by photographer Sina Araghi, presents powerful stories of education, individuality, familial relationships, societal restraints, and bold bravery.  First displayed at UC Davis’ Alumni Center with the intent to travel to additional campuses and venues, Enduring Power was met with an opening reception hosted by founder Tata Monfared and featured a keynote speech and roundtable discussion.
