Scholarship Fund

Senses Cultural’s Academy of Health has proudly launched the Scholarship Fund for Neurodevelopmental Professionals. As part of our mission to promote understanding on the issue in the Middle East since 2012, this fund aims to highlight the challenges faced by women and children in the region and advocate for healthier and more peaceful lives for their families. The fund supports programs beyond the Middle East region that contribute to the better understanding of neurodevelopment disorders and their impact on families.

The Senses Cultural Scholarship Fund for Neurodevelopmental Professionals is further designed to support the efforts of medical professionals and students in the field, and other professionals working on developing neurodevelopmental intervention skills. The Fund covers costs associated with training, including travel and living expenses.

The fund is focused primarily on groups and individuals in the Middle Eastern countries who aim to study at the UC Davis MIND Institute International Training Program in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ITPND), and, in the near future, at other similar institutions. The fund will also allow Senses Cultural to convene conferences and workshops for families and professionals in the field, and offer related assistance to families.

Autism, Attention-Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Fragile X Syndrome, Down Syndrome and other neurodevelopmental disorders that cause intellectual and other learning and behavioral problems are as prevalent in the Middle East as they are in the West. The lack of awareness, diagnosis and treatment from trained professionals in the Middle East, however, leaves families there with little support and often suffering in silence raising a child with special needs. Senses Cultural is committed to addressing this problem.

Middle Eastern medical institutions, schools serving children with special needs, and families who have a child with learning problems, will all benefit from better trained professionals and specialized centers for neuro developmental disorders through the efforts that Senses Cultural makes in the field. We invite you to become a part of this important and much needed change by joining our pool of professionals!

We also ask that you consider a generous donation to Senses Cultural’s visit the site Scholarship Fund for Neurodevelopmental Professionals as a way to train specialists in the Middle East to help families in a practical and meaningful way. Please feel free to contact Tata, the Senses Cultural’s founder and CEO, at tata@sensescultural.org for more details about how you may contribute to this fund or apply for a scholarship.

Full or partial financial support will be considered. Senses Cultural is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
