Senses Cultural is dedicated to creating a peaceful and healthy world by fostering understanding about autism and neurodevelopment disorders and the arts. We cultivate a national and international network of artists, scholars and cultural advocates who work in the field, and organize events for health experts and artists beyond their own geographic and social borders. Senses Cultural offers partnership opportunities to interested organizations to collaborate, sponsor, host and promote projects that fulfill our common goals. We encourage projects in which we can partner with others to build cross-cultural understanding and tolerance.
- Encourage cultural exchange and education

- Fostering peace through understanding
Who We Are
Senses Cultural cultivates national and international networks of artists, scholars and cultural advocates, and organizes events for health experts and artists beyond their own geographic and social borders. We are committed to sharing culture—arts and ideas—as a means to promote understanding and foster peace around the world.
Senses Cultural founder Tahereh (Tata) Monfared is a longtime cultural and health advocate. She immigrated to the United States from Iran and has promoted the Iranian culture since 1997. She has worked with local and international universities to publish, and gather speakers featuring academic and cultural luminaries with links to Middle Eastern cultures.
As the publisher of Senses Magazine, an elegant arts and lifestyle publication, Tata strove to couple the magazine’s art and fashion content with social conscience issues about health and the arts. Sharing the creations of great minds and large hearts from 2006–2008, Senses published articles including “Hope in Herrera” about the international non-profit Project Hope’s health work in the Dominican Republic, and a story of how AIDS orphans in Tumaini, Kenya, used blogging to tell their stories to the world.
Senses Cultural is a logical extension of Tata’s charitable aspirations. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Senses Cultural is well-positioned to recruit partners and support for its vision for peace through cultural exchanges in the fields of health and the arts.
