A Public Awareness Initiative by The Senses Cultural Foundation

The Senses Cultural Foundation (SCF) Academy of Health (AoH) supports educational programs that improve mental health and the science of the brain. The Academy is proud to announce the launch of the Health Series on Brain Science (HSBS) designed to promote awareness in the field, and support healthcare providers and communities through freely available educational opportunities. Our team of HSBS experts develops timely videos, podcasts, news, and online services including teleconferences and seminars, and actively builds national and international partnerships.

Senses Cultural provides easily accessible information to address the growing need for public awareness on brain health. The organization supports community level programs and educators to enhance research and services in the field, and collaborates with the scientific community to improve its public outreach initiatives. The steps accelerate research funding to advance a wide range of neuroscience programs. We pursue these goals by organizing workshops and training opportunities for caregivers, teachers, psychologists and physicians, and by fostering cross cultural contacts on brain and behavioural health. Our work focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders and autism. We receive support from national and international organizations and universities, and the world-renowned neuroscientist Dr. Randi J. Hagerman who serves as the Medical Director of the MIND Institute at UC Davis. Under her leadership, Senses Cultural reaches out to experts in Asia and in Europe, collaborates with European universities, and builds networks with Middle Eastern scientists including recently Dr. Mohammad Nami who serves as the head of the Department of Neuroscience at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Our collaborative efforts empower groups with limited access to educational resources on brain and behavioral health, by freely sharing advanced knowledge and research in the field. We work closely with underserved immigrants and refugees and the general public. The Academy of Health Series on Brain Science (HSBS) is a unique platform to share views through online seminars, podcasts, and training courses designed to raise public awareness about autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Finally, we address the need for proper screening and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders before the age of five, to build better outcomes through timely treatments.

We believe that together we build healthier communities, so please help us in serving you.

Thank you,

Tata Monfared
