Nasser Moeini’s long commitment to international relief work includes recently service as the UNICEF deputy and acting representative in Jordan and as the chief of UNICEF’s field office in Southern Nigeria. Previously, he served as a relief specialist in Afghanistan, where he was also the United Nations team leader for the northern part of the country in 1995.
Moeini also managed UNICEF’s program and relief work for the Tajik refugees, Afghan displaced persons in Northern Afghanistan, and Iraqi refugees in Jordan, including the coordination work involving many national and international humanitarian relief organizations.
Moeini’s academic background in political science and international relations has served him well as a developmental specialist and contributor to numerous local and international workshops and conferences on political and social developmental issues. He lives in California, where he is a freelance consultant on social development.
