Tehran International Conference!posted on 29 Aug 2017 | post

Among the most fascinating aspects of the world of philanthropy is how passion can lead to creativity which can connect us to resources we did not think possible and which can inspire us to work for a better world.

After many months of hard work, Senses Cultural and its dedicated team of members and contributors are excited to inform you about some exciting projects in support of our mission to develop a more peaceful and healthier environment for all.

OFAC licensing: Senses Cultural recently received an OFAC license from the US government allowing for the exchange of knowledge and health related information related to improving treatment for autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. This permission is essential for a U.S. NGO working in the field of health in Iran. The license has strengthened our efforts and will allow for new possibilities as we develop projects throughout the Middle East and beyond.

Tehran Autism Conference: In early December,we will hold the second international conference on autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders, in association with the Charity Foundation for Special Diseases, a powerful NGO in Iran. This conference will be a highlight of our effort to engage major educational institutions in the development of a curriculum for a school and clinical facilities for autism and related disorders. As part of our work in Iran, we are helping coordinate the training of autism instructors as well as those who are focused on lessening the impact of family trauma.

Senses Cultural Scholarship Fund: SC is proud to provide partial support for two highly qualified professionals recently accepted at the UCD MIND institute’s International Training Program in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ITPND).

Art for Autism:Following the conference, we’ll celebrate the opening of our second art exhibition benefiting autism in Farhang Sarayeh Niavaran, one of the most prestigious art galleries in the north part of Tehran. We are also working to take this exhibition to some European and other Middle Eastern countries.

Autism Lectures for Parents in Sacramento: We have received approval from the UC Davis MIND Institute to organize talks for Middle Eastern parents who are dealing with autism. The MIND is graciously allowing us to use their auditorium. Lectures will begin this fall.

Please remember, we rely on your support and generosity to help us make our world a better place. Be part of the journey by donating to Senses Cultural today!

Best regards,

Tata
