Senses Cultural Presents “Enduring Power: the Middle Eastern and Iranian Woman’s Story ”posted on 23 Jul 2014 | post

Davis, California, October 15th – November 30th, 2014 An Invitation to Participate We, at Senses Cultural, would like to invite you to participate in the Middle Eastern Women Photography Exhibition featuring classic and modern creations of distinction from Middle Eastern women artists. Historically, a wide array of obstacles have undermined the lives of Middle Eastern and Iranian women, yet these women have continued to be remarkably resilient.  Women – mothers, grandmothers, and daughters – have been the quiet strength that protects the rights of their families, communities, and nations. Express your passion and proclaim your advocacy for Middle Eastern women!  Contribute your work to Enduring Power: the Middle Eastern and Iranian Woman’s Story, a photography exhibition held in the Alumni Center at the UC Davis Alumni Center in California, from October 15th until November 30th, 2014.   We welcome women artists of all ages from Iran and the Middle East to submit photography that showcases life in all its glory – strength, persistence, courage, forgiveness, and love. HOW TO SUBMIT Email digital files (JPEGs/Tiffs), Zip files, links to online galleries, or links to Dropbox folders for consideration.  In your email please include a short description of yourself and any relevant captions for your work. Single images or sets of photos may be selected for exhibition.  If your images are selected, you must be able to provide high resolution JPEGs or Tiff files capable of being printed in large sizes. Deadline for submission is: September 10, 2014  For submissions and all inquiries email: Sina Araghi – saraghi@sensescultural.org
